shouldnt this be a stickey?

what year zx10 rims rit on the 03 z1000?
04- 07 anyways but I have read several posts about issue's with the initial run of 04 rims. The 04-05 front rim mounts differently than the 06-07 rim, different spacers and axle.

Wheel Conversion/swap for the Front says i can use a 1998-2002 ZX6 or a 2000-2002 ZX9 front wheel, can someone asure me that i will not need different spacers or axles?

FYI, ive got a rear ZX9 wheel with brake disc already and that was a straight swap no mods, no other parts, used same Z1K spacers and axles!

Update for exhaust:

2001 ZX9R header
Modification required: Collector hits rear shock, needs to be slash cut and flipped 180 degrees.
(This is a great mod to do)
Is this refering to the OEM ZX9 header or the after-market systems? Also, is this fact for the '03-'06 models? Visually the cylinder head is different on the '07&'08 so I'm not sure this is relevant to the new Z's.

Anyone....?

Below is an answer I found on another thread....

Let me save you some time. First off, your one can will definitely handle the "extra" exhaust. They don't make them that much different for single-sided exhausts, trust me. Secondly, don't bother with the ZX9 header-it will NOT work with the block on the GenIII (what you have) Z1000's. Though the displacement is the same at 953cc's, the configuration is different.

I think i have read that you can fit 2003 - 2006 dog bones to an 07 -08 bike ??
does this lift or lower the bike any 1 know how much

I haven't tried it personally, but I'm 99% sure they'll fit just fine.

I'm in the middle of a move right now, and since this thread is getting kinda long and hasn't been stickied I'd like to just post up a fresh version of this one once I get squared away here at home.

I saw someone with a set of modified aftermarket ZX10 rearsets on their bike once. If you know who it was have them post up here on how they did it...
