Powercomander did great work, the bike works fine but it needs some more work to achive highest hp. Now is doing 135, before was doing 132 with all known mods. FI does not turn off, we've tried everything, but i don't really care since air fuel shows good.

I'll be back soon with the map that took as weeks :bud:

Sorry guys, I don't know what's happened to the posts. I looked around and didn't find anything.

I have questions to help me make the change to ZX10 FI.

What manifolds, Throttle cable, which Power commander or how many and which ones. any special wireing problems, What filters?

Anything that you can pass along to make the chance less painless would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Sam

When you do it fireball be sure to do a "how to" thread with pics :righton:

My zed is getting a blower slapped on it next week. The two restricting and major criteria's are the the down pipes and the throttle bodies :glassesti

The downpipes will be getting made up over the winter.....and I'll be lookin to improve yet more power. The bodies look like a good move :yoda:

You can use stock manifolds throttle cables and power commander.I used the stock throttle possition sensor since the zx10's that i bought from e-bay didn't contained it. That was a little tricky.

I didn't used any filtration, actually i totally removed the airbox, and used stacks.

Thanks thats what I wanted to know.

It will probably not get started on the installation for a while. I have too many races in the next 3 months and I dont want to spoil the combination I have and not have the bike ready in time and miss a race.

good idea, probalby very much a off season mod to get the fuel mapping right. No need to use any electronics for the 10R since its just the throttle bodies. I thik remapping will be the only challenge. 3HP is pretty damn nice off of just the bodies. 135HP is with cams, no box, 10R bodies and dyno tuning? I guess thats not bad... stock compression and timing right?
I'd expect over 140 with your setup and the thin head gasket and timed out as far as possible with premium fuel.

Were the secondaries removed or did they plug in? I know there was a big to-do about removing the secondaries with the stockers. I wonder if the 10R tb's would be better w/o them????? One last Question to anyone that can answer. How much bigger are the 10R tb's inside diameter wise? and..... are the injectors bigger. Quick answer is fine I dont need all the physics involved!!! :confuse: :confuse: :headbang:

I was talking to a Dyno-Jet tuning rep. this weekend at the track. He was telling me that if you don't use two powercommanders our a ZX10 PC that is modified to fit the Z1000. you can not get all of the injectors to function properly.

More to come as I learn.

I will check the sizes. I think the Z is 38 and the ZX10 is 41. I also think the Z has a single injector and the ZX has 4. The idea is to improve top end and still get a good mid range boost.

I have not even unwraped the ZX10 parts yet.
