Hey guys, im not on here much but whenever i have an issue, its the first place i go to. I picked up a 2010 z1000 in april of 2013 with about 600 miles from an older guy that clearly didnt ride much. The bike now has about 3000 miles (is that a lot?) and i absolutely love it! I keep beating myself up because i hate putting miles on it and love keeping it in showroom condition. No upgrades yet except rizoma mirrors, K&N air and oil filter, synthetic brake fluid, and currently running on 10-40 fully synthetic Motul 7100 oil. The problem im having now is that the bike is running so much louder than it used to, and much hotter. im not sure if its cause its already broken in, the fact that i used full synthetic, or that somethings actually wrong? I do sometimes ride with guys on R1's and GSXR 1000's and go as high as 130mph but not for long cause i dont want to abuse the bike.Otherwise i just do normal speeds. I also did about 15 wheelies in total and always dropped it down softly not to ruin the forks. It doesnt have that engine humming noise it used to and now it just sounds like a tractor.. I also do have the service manuals from the dealer and do everything by the book. I might just be paranoid, but i do love my bike and hope its nothing bad.. any ideas guys?
