.........we don't need no stinking zerk fittings. I decided yesterday to get my FZ1 ready for the ridge....by greasing the swingarm and replacing the fork oil. What I found ......or didn't find was zerk fittings to grease the swing pivot. Evidently Yama doesn't believe in springing for such minute detail. So I got my toolbox and started tearing things apart till I had the swingarm off. This was also an opertunity for a good cleaning and to inspect the underside of the bike for any problems. Today I replaced my fork oil with 2.5 wt down from 7.5wt which I used last year when I replaced my springs with a hyperpro setup. And the forks are another animal all together when working on them....... when you have preload and rebound adjusters everything has to be set right when you go to put things back together other wise $hit don't work right.:D

Removing the swingarm for bearing service is a common occurance for KLR owners too. Why cant they put a friggin zerk on it? :dunno:

You'd better get a coat of paint on that rocking chair too.
