It's that time of the year again. The snow and ice have descended and the bike is now away for it's Winter slumber.
Stabilizer & SeaFoam added to the filled fuel tank, chain oiled, battery tender on... but what about the tires?
Being on the center stand the rear is clear, but what about the front?
As the bike doesn't have spools for a normal type paddock stand I made my own out of a few scraps of wood a few years back.
It does the trick and is far from fancy!
There is clearance between the tire and base and I notched the side supports to match the bottom of the fork. The 2 extra bits of wood near the brake rotors is to prevent and possibility of the stand moving to the side and falling off. It keeps the tire off the floor and still maintains some pressure on the forks (suspension is meant to have some compression)
