I'm was mounting the engine into my US spec '07 650R and came across this plug that comes out of the wiring harness in front of the front sprocket. Naturally, I don't recall it from the time of disassembly. There's seemingly no receptacle to plug this into so I locate the part using it's 4 color coded wires in the wiring diagram - Brown/Black, Blue/Yellow, Pink/Black, White/Yellow. The part is "Oxygen sensor (Europe only)". Can anyone confirm this hangs loose on a US model? I'm guessing it fits into the exhaust on a European model?

I'm assuming that it is to comply with Euro emissions requirements.

The USA has their own emission standards which do not directly correlate to the Euro ones.

Since the bike is shipped all around the world, Kawasaki just pretty much used the same wiring harness for every country.

So I would be inclined just to tape it off.

Maybe some other members have more info.

TY for the input. It fits perfectly into a space under the sprocket.
