Yesterday I noticed after about an hour long ride that my two-bros carbon fiber exhaust was missing. The exhaust was loud before so I didn't notice it too much during the ride but did think it was unusually loud and turned a few more heads than usual. Needless to say I won't be getting another two-bros product. It appears that the rivets just let loose and the whole tube just slipped off. ****

Hahaha wow. Rivets do tend to vibrate a lil loose overtime but I can't help but wonder if that rubber bracket not being on there right had anything to do with it. Even if I took the exhaust loose the bracket would hold mine and not let it come off. One of those things your supposed to check and make sure it's still snug once a month. Too bad. What do you plan on getting now?

The tech's @ Leo Vince told me back in 2006 that they felt the exhaust pulses of the 650 were way to much
for a carbon fiber canister. That's why they don't make one. You should contact TBR and see what they have to say.
How old is and what is the mileage on the muffler ?

That sounds about right. I had the muffler for just under a year (11 months) and it was only used for about 6 of those months where I put on about 5000 miles.

you're not the first. a friend of mine had his TBR CF gone off too.

now he's on Leo Vince stainless steel.
I just ordered the Leo Vince MotoGP Evo II and I think I'll be much more satisfied with it. I'll be calling two-bros tomorrow during their business hours. Hopefully they set me up.

No way possible if it was installed correctly.
Yeah that's how I felt at first but the carbon fiber can I could see deteriating over time. My stainless can won't do that i don't think.

I installed a titanium TBR can over 15,000 miles ago, and still no problems.

IMHO two brothers is trash...
Ouch... Lol jp. I like mine. Sounds good and matches my paint scheme which is why I got it really. It's the best looking exhaust IMO. All the others look ugly to me. Especially the jardine.

There was a very similar thread someone posted months ago about their 2Brothers Carbon Fiber exhaust falling off. Seems like that specific exhaust is known for problems. I have had a stainless steel TB exhaust on my bike for over 10k miles and no issues. TB should definitely stop making that carbon fiber one. Let us know what they say when you contact them. I believe the other guy did get some help from them.

So I've been in contact with them. They said "Even though the product is out of warranty, the warranty manager should be able to do something for you." I'm pretty sure there was no warranty in the first place. Now I've gotten another response saying I can get an aluminum canister only for $50 dollars. I think I'm going to do it but I've already ordered a Leo Vince exhaust and would rather use that one. So I think I will sell my twobros aluminum setup as partly used.

If anyone here is interested in a new aluminum twobros muffler with used hanger parts let me know.
EDIT: I'm asking $250 shipped but I'll accept the best offer.

A lot of people think that but they are not any worse than any other can. It's just a fad coming and going. 5 years ago everyone thought they were the greatest exhaust ever. Nothing has changed since then.

But it is true that carbon fiber cans are susceptible to damage or loss on twins or big singles because of the huge pressure pulses. Not just TBR cans, all of them. When I had a KLR650, I heard many stories of the canisters falling off. But over on the GSXR forum, there isn't a single report of a carbon fiber canister falling off. They are currently out of style though. Lots of dorks repeating "Two Brothers is trash" after they hear someone else say it.

I personally like the looks of the Black Series and have one on my GSXR. With the P1X silencer tip, it's the quietest exhaust available, and unlike other silencer inserts, it still sounds good. I hate loud.
