Why don't you buy a factory manual. they are priceless in the long run?

mine is a '06 z750. so could be different.

 

my service manual does not give a tourqe spec . it just says replace gaskets tighten holder nuts and mounting bolt replace rest of exhaust warm up engine let cool and retighten all bolts and nuts

 

I believe the header nuts are 22 N-m. Not sure on the hanger bolt but it's a 10mm bolt so its gonna be at least 40 N-m (guessing).

Muffler Body Mounting Bolt: 34 N-m (bolt that holds the mufflers to the passenger peg brackets)
Premuffler Chamber Mounting bolt: 34 N-m (hanger bolt on the CAT box to frame)
Muffler Body Clamp Bolts: 21 N-m (these are just the muffler clamp bolts to the CAT box. 1 on each side.

Note: the SM DOES NOT specify a torque for the exhaust pipe holder nuts. Akrapovic recommends 22 N-m in their instructions. In the generic torque spec section of the SM it recommends 14-19 N-m for 8mm hardware.

 

Thanks guys don't have time to order a service manual. Getting my full Akra Pipe tomorrow and as most can't wait to get it on. Ordered the Ivin's stuff should be great.
