Just read "Tire changing" in the maintenance tips. Holy crap ! Is it changing tires or washing dishes ? My hat off to you folks who can do this sort of stuff yourselves ;) I would never attempt such a project. Getting the wheel off swingarm would be enough for me. If I have a mechanic there with me, I'm OK. And I can handle most maintenance and mods by my lonesome self. But tire changing, I thought you needed a tire removal machine ? Guess not. Just reading that all made my head spin. Wowzer.

It's just that the side walls are pretty rigid and really dry. Just by getting things to go in the right direction, they darn near remove themselves. Ya just gotta work with it and not against it. The trick is to spray a little at a time, quite a few times as opposed to getting "Dish Pan Hands" and soaking the floor, the wheel and yourself. It's really quite easy. I have some pictures waiting to be developed that will solve some of the head spin.

OK Martin, I'd love to see the pics. Hey, I've changed road racing bicycle tires with just my bare hands many times, so I'm willing and able. I love saving money on service too.

I really was under the strong impression you needed more specialized tools. I was wrong.

PS , You're soaking in it. DISHWASHING LIQUID ?!. No, Palmolive.
