Just went to winterize my new ZR7S today, and I noticed that the bolts that mount the fuel tank mount to the frame were not tightened all the way. This leaves the mount loose, and able to flop around. The bolts almost feel like they are cross threaded. Is this bracket mounted at the factory or during dealer assembly? Has anyone else come across this problem?

Either way, I would take it in to the dealer and have them take care of it.

It may not have been tightened all the way and the bracket rubbed on the bolts and bunged up the threads so that now it can't be tightened.

Taking it to the dealer might be more trouble than fixing it yourself.

I would get a tap and clean up the threads then buy new bolts.

If the threads are beyond repair with a tap. You can always drill out the nuts and use a new nut with a lock washer and a longer bolt.

I had a similar problem, only I tightened the bolts WAY to much and stripped them and the bracket. I got new bolts and a new bracket from bikebandit.com. Bracket is like $16 if I remember. I used heavy zip ties until the new parts came
