i have been pondering the idea for a little while now and finally pulled the trigger on it today for my '08 650r. i ordered a clear tail light with integrated turn signals and am very pumped to install it! (should be here in a few days)

that being said...

I have one quick question for you guys; is the taillight relatively easy to replace? Or is it a pain.
I found this great "how to" video, but he really doesn't go into detail about the removal of the rear panels.

Thanks ahead of time!

I've heard it's simple, watched these today because I'm planning to do the Ermax Undertail in a week or so.

thanks Nicklovin!

I actually had a free second yesterday so I took the rear end of the bike apart to see what I'm getting into. Big thanks for that video, because I wouldnt've had a clue how to get those rubber rivets out...but now I'm good to go! :woot:

its not hard to replace the actual taillight at all. the wiring is a little tricky, but between the video and some trial and error its easily doable. its even easier if you dont care about the resistors and dealing with a faster blinking signal. Just keep the wires strait cuz it can get a little crazy cuz there are a bunch of them back there.

Hi
I've just bought my bike last week, and it came with the integrated led tail light, does anyone knows how much the leds last?
Maybe is a simple question but I'm almost new in the bikes, I used to drive an older bike but never take good care of it (now i regret because it was a 1980 Yamaha XS 850cc, now I know this is a hard to find bike) :corner
