After seeing this

http://riderforums.com/showpost.php?p=577599&postcount=2271

It really got me thinking about doing it. I have the brackets made and the shifter is at the tool shop now getting cut down and the shifter arm made. I will post pics of everything when I get it all done and on the bike.

So far the two brackets cost $40. I plan on getting a stainless brake line, with 6 inches extra, as I moved the pegs forward 6 inches.

Did the same extensions (see pictures), they extend the foot pegs 4.5" enough for me and it only cost me $54.00 and some elbow grease to do some cutting and drilling holes. I decided to extend the shift lever for a cleaner and more stock look.

$6.00 36" steel bar at Home Depot
$3.00 3/8" drill bit
$20.00 machine shop to extend shift lever 4"
$25.00 power coat all parts

I want to thank DaytonaMojo for his assistance.

Awesome. I thought about doing that with the shift lever also, but was curious how much "travel" would be required for shifting. Looks good though, nice work.

The shifting travel stay much the same no difference at all and you keep the ability to adjust the lever/toe position as needed.

Can you send me pictures?! I’m trying to do this with my 1998 Vulcan 1500E, these photos won’t load though. Thanks!
