Hi Guys. Ive been meaning to get to this but now that Im back at work I have so little time. I dont have time off for the proposed week so I wont be there. I wish I could. Also I have barely ridden in 2 1/2 years so I would be very slow.
ROTR 1 was stationed in Danville VA. I think it was a 1 day ride. It was started as a meet up between Tom Bozeman and Fade. It snowballed to 9 riders. Danville was a good hour from the mountains. We got recommendations on some roads from the guy that ran Willville motorcycle campground, but mstly rode the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hence Ride on the Ridge. Of course in the afternoon we had a massive Thunderstorm and rode back to Danville cold and wet.

It was the start of good times and good friends

Jon, Glad you are able to ride again but sorry you wont be able to join us. We were hoping you would be able to join us this year. Maybe we will do a fall ride if there is enough interest.

It looks like Wytheville will be the location for this years ride according to the poll. We stayed at Days Inn for previous ROTRs so I suggest we stay there again. I plan to make a cancellable reservation for 5/12 thru 5/16 in case that weekend is a rainout and we postpone ROTR to the following weekend. Is everyone available to ride on 5/20 thru 5/23 in case there is a rainout or is everyone locked into 5/13 thru 5/16 dates?

ROTR was another success even. I had a great time as usual seeing everyone and riding some great roads though some were a little rough or dirty. I made it it home last night at about 11pm after enduring road construction in Atlanta. When I stopped for gas in GA, I noticed my kickstand had fallen off the bike and was 6 inches from falling off the trailer. For those not there, my kickstand bolt broke on Tuesday but the kickstand managed to hang in there until Sunday. I rode a total of 2,146 miles for the week. Thanks to everyone for making it another great ROTR.
