Sorry is this has been discussed but I didn't find anything via search. Has anyone mounted a phone on a 2010+ Z1000? Not much room on the bars for a proper mount. I'd like to mount my iPhone for the occaisional map/GPS use. I actually have a really nice mount for my bicycle that I could use but the only place there's room to mount it is on the more vertical part of the handlebar which will leave the phone facing more or less sideways and too hard to read at a glance.

RAM mount is the way to go here IMO. Made in the USA, loads of options, good quality and warranty. Been using them for years and 140k plus miles.

go to ebay and search for slip grip, its made just for this

Slip grip makes mounts that use the 17mm ball. That size ball is used on my garmin GPS, and it would be easy to pop the phone on and GPS off. My iphone has a Defender rubber case and slip grip even makes a mount for that bulkier combination.
