Went to Gateway International Raceway for probably the last time ever on October 10th. The place is for sale, and no events are scheduled for next year. Shame, because it's about 20 minutes from my house, and they had maybe four track days a year for bikes.
Anyway, I pitted next to a guy who works at JMP Cycles in Wood River IL, and we had a pretty good day riding, with excellent weather.
I just recently purchased these two images from that day.
I have to say, Dunlop Sportmax Q2s at 32psi front and rear worked really well for me. My new riding buddy remarked that the Z must have a lot of torque, because I was laying long dark lines from the rear tire on corner exits.
The footpegs on both sides are beveled down now, and at some point I dragged the kickstand pretty hard. I'll take that off for the next track day.
