I want to flush the front forks oil over the winter, I'm sure some fresh fluid will do some good.

Does anyone know what weight Kawi uses? I don't want to start fiddling with that, just the basic OEM viscosity.

I have no idea what year Z1000 you're asking for - but here's info for the ZR1000B (model years '07 through '09)

Fork Oil
Viscosity:
SHOWA SS-8 or equivalent SAE 10W
Amount (Right Fork Leg):
When changing oil:
Approx. 365 mL (12.3 US oz.)
After disassembly and completely dry:
430 ±2.5 mL (14.5 ±0.084 US oz.)

Oil Level (fully compressed, without spring)
Standard:
100 ±2 mm (3.94 ±0.08 in.) (from the top of the outer
tube)
