Modified rear blinker, suggestions?

So my father took my bike in to our motorcycle mechanic today to take a look at how to mount the Ermax undertail. Hes worried that the position of the turn signals will make it difficult to see...not to mention I've read reviews stating that they are rather weak in comparison to American standards. Well he is making a suggestion that I am interested in, but I would like to do a little research on before hand and that is mounting blinkers where I have circled in red. I have started looking into some flush mounted blinkers and was wondering what everyone thinks about this? Also, does the bike in which the flush mounted signals was originally intended for matter if we will be cutting the plastics? (meaning...will I have any wiring issues?)

Just to clarify...we would be adding the flush mounted blinkers in addition to keeping the Ermax blinkers. Some thing like this...

How about adding an integrated tail light/signal light? Or add a strip of LEDs to the rear of the passenger foot peg stay?

I think the main thing you have to watch for is loosing your license plate. I know some guys who have lost theirs while riding at highway speeds.

I like the idea of the strip of leds...but if I were to do it, I would prob put it directly above the rear hugger? Only reason I might be opposed to that idea is that I feel like the wiring would be difficult and possibly sloppy looking?

I looked at the tail light/turn signals for a while...but they seem cheapy to me. If you could recommend a reliable brand that could re-ignite that idea.

And losing the license plate w/ the Ermax setup? I'll make sure to double secure it. Maybe some twosided tape or velcro strips?
I found these:

This one only lists ER-6N's / F's which would fit the 650R?

And then I found this, which is almost 3 times the price but looks like the same part. I'm wondering the difference in quality:

This is how I solved my Ninja Lighting for commuting. They are run/brake/turn LED lights

i've bought from that dealer and use it on my bike, in place of turn signals. i personally think the tail looks a million times better. it does require some wire splicing (which my brother did)
I just kept the DOT signals when I used an undertail. Aftermarket ones are almost invariably crap (dim, hard to see, especially in the daytime). The stockers are visible and free.
I had an integrated one from clear alternatives, it was pretty visible. I did run some LED arrow style turn signals on a license plate bracket in addition to it though. With the ermax signals and an integrated tail light it shouldn't be too bad.
One of the websites above only offer tail lights for ER-6F/ER-6N. Which would fit the 650?

Compatible for KAWASAKI series

NINJA 650R (2009-2010)

ER-6F (2009-2010)

ER-6N (2009-2010)
So I have decided to go with either the integrated taillight above.

Or these turn signals, to the left and right of the stock taillight...http://www.amazon.com/Amber-Motorcycle-Signals-Bullet-Housings/dp/B0010ATWVM
