I have a 2004 1200 S, and I went with the Givi colour matched set ( 46L side cases & top case ), the hard bags look great and are amazing for touring. I know you can get the same set up from Givi for your model ( Givi.com ). Now what I would like to know is does anyone have a good recomendation for a comfortable 2 up seat for long distance touring as I am planing a trip to Newfoundland this July on my 1200 S.

Givi is quite common and a good option, however I have a set of Shad luggage on my 2004 GSF1200S Bandit. 46 litre side and 50 litre top case, quck release, water tight seal and looks pretty decient with ot without the bags on it.

In Canada Importations Thibault distributes Givi, and Motovan Corporation distributes Shad.

Twisted throttle distributes Givi in the USA.

V35L luggage

Hi, I just bought a leftover 2009 1250 Bandit. It came with the Givi V35 Luggage. While it wont hold a full face helmet - it holds a good bit and they are very easy to use. I also bought and installed the toprack. Unfortunately the betterhalf thought the E55N topcase was way too large...so thinking of the 46L topcase in its place.

One thing I have noticed is that the toprack will have to moved to the rear about 3 inches so my wife can actually sit on the seat. ..Givi doesn't want to change the way the weight is loaded, however it seems almost every owner on Earth has altered their topracks in this fashion.

As for the seat, I purchased a Sargent World Performance Seat with the backrest feature...which partially relies on the seat pan and partially loads against the USA model's rear handrail via a metal bracket and rubber stop.
The seat made a WORLD of difference. That stocker will give you Monkey Butt in about an hour...

Good luck with your search!

Amen Brother! I did the same thing with my '09. The Sargeant is light years ahead in the comfort department over the stocker. I've had bikes that have had worse stock seats but the mine was bad enough that it was worth the money spent.

Ya don't happen to still have the Corbin Beatle Bags do ya?
Been looking for a set, Corbinnhas discontinued them.
Welcome onboard. It's unlikely that you will get a reply. The post is from 2012, which was the last time the OP was online. Maybe post a thread in the Buy/Sell section.
