Seems like there is no consistency in seats. For my 2012 N1K the Kawasaki gel seat was great. Bought one for my 2018 N1K and after a few hours it is a pain. I think the stock seat is better.

I also had a 2012 then got the new 1 in 2017 and agree but the new seat takes quite some time to break in. At first it used to hurt after about 30min of saddle time. But now it's just perfect I can be in saddle for 2+ hours no problem.

The 2012 gel seat seemed to fit but the bottom part of the seat was closer to the battery than the stock and I didn't want to risk messing things up
