Hey all. I'm putting a set of 10 1/2 in. Z bars with 1 in. spacers on my 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan Mean Streak 1500. Do I have to replace the cables or will the stock cables still be long enough. Or would a set of 8 in. bars fit better.

Do you honestly think Kawi has stuffed an extra 8 or so inches of cables in there somewhere?

No, you'll need new ones. Anything more than 2 inches requires new cables.

Hopefully, you have to replace the cables since you are planning for 10 1/2 inch Z bars.

Not entirely true. I added 8" and rerouted my cables to the front of the triple tree using cable guides from a Nomad.
