Went to the local kawi dealership today, he told me the H2 is going to cost 25000$, i have a hard time believing him...
The guy's just blowing smoke. The price won't be that high. Part of what made the H2 such a success was it's value relative to the market. Kawasaki understands that.I saw an article that estimated the price around there. But I've also read people saying they think it'll have 225 hp. That I also find hard to believe.
I mean i cant see them out pricing something these days, because in the end its about money then respect for them. The guy's just blowing smoke. The price won't be that high. Part of what made the H2 such a success was it's value relative to the market. Kawasaki understands that.
The horsepower number may be a bit on the low side...BTW.
Really...TEN GRAND for a SUPERCHARGER? For THIRTY HORSEPOWER? Nope...not gonna happen. 20K MAX.Ok, 225ish sounds ok seeing how it's now a liter bike. Before the rumors were it would based on the 636. I could see it being a $25k motorcycle (MSRP, street price lower after the initial launch) for basically a supercharged zx10ish bike.
seeing that the zx10 and the 14 are a little over 15k, i would think they will try to keep it close as possible. Maybe 16k to 17k ?Really...TEN GRAND for a SUPERCHARGER? For THIRTY HORSEPOWER? Nope...not gonna happen.
The Vmax is around 18 grand.
I could see it being 25 grand if the frame and suspension components match the engine output performance. You can spend $15,000 on top tier suspension components.
That's from an article from 2006. Suzuki went all but bankrupt when GM shafted them for something like 600 million behind their own bankruptcy that we bailed them out on. Suzuki doesn't even have an R&D department...according to the district rep.Well with Suzuki coming out with a 570hp supercharged Hyabusa, they need to fit one to the ZX14.

Lol. This forum needs a sarcasm emoticon. That's from an article from 2006. Suzuki went all but bankrupt when GM shafted them for something like 600 million behind their own bankruptcy that we bailed them out on. Suzuki doesn't even have an R&D department...according to the district rep.
Agreed considering the 14R is the current (sport bike) flagship and will still be ~15-16k, since this bike is to assume the flagship spot it will definitely cost more. People that want one will pay $23k or more for one. Heck it might even be a strategy to price it out of range of inexperienced/younger to avoid racking up a huge body count. If the thing has 225hp, weighs 450 lbs, it should make a 14R look slow.I'm guessing $22,999. Thats not much money, really, as compared to even a small car.
that is not good to hear, if thats the case for sure we wont receive oneI went to my dealer yesterday to get a part for my bike, and I mentioned what they thought about the H2. They said it was going to be an extremely limited product and they weren't even sure they were going to get one (Koups Cycle Shop in Harrisburg, not some tiny meaningless store). Who knows, maybe they just meant a race version or something?
