Hey guys, I'm sure there's a thread on this already, just couldn't find it again after seeing it about two weeks ago...apparently the search function changed it's mind on letting me see that thread again.

When removing the front sprocket, what size socket 'should' be used, and is it normal or reverse threaded. I purchased a Hayes manual, and oddly enough, neither of those two very important pieces of information are not in the book??... Thanks in advance for the help.

Standard threads, 32mm but get a deep 32mm socket for it. An pnuematic impact wrench was the only way I was able to remove mine.
Don't forget to flatten out the locking washer before you try to remove the nut.
