Had a flat battery on Monday morning - not a good way to start the week :(

Anyway - my bike is used daily and all was running fine on Friday.

I was surprised that the battery could go so quickly. But after charging it for 4 or 5 hours all seemed fine. Then tonite, as I left work, when I started it up the engine seemed to turn over a little slowly before catching. (not sure if I am just being paranoid)

Before I splash out on a new battery is there anyway I can check if it is the battery or the alternator?

Z1000 2004. Still original battery.

'04.... 6 years old. Battery. I guarantee it, thats actually a decent lifespan for one. If you can't replace it right away then bumpstarting will get youy by for a little while.
