Taillight modulators can be found on the net for about $35.00 plus shipping but does anyone know if the parts are avalible at a auto parts store. A goldwing rider advised me today that the parts could be perchased for about 12 bucks but no one at the two stores I checked at knew what parts to us.

The unit is 1 inch wide, 1/4 inch thick and about 2 inch's long. I installed it under the seat near the tail light. When you apply the brakes it makes the brake light flash untill you release them. I am satisfied with it.

Probably illegal here, don't you think AP?

BTW, I have now twice seen cars with a little of that ultra-violet etc type of lighting glow enhancement stuff that I believe is biggish in the USA.

Scott(mac), are you talking about the bright colored hue off the headlights? I thought that was a European thing that made it's way over here. When I was stationed in Germany in the mid-80's, yellow head lights was a thing there, but I think that was for the fog. Alot of the French Army had one yellow and one white head light. Don't know the reasoning for that though.

Nah - I'm talking about the type of additional lighting that makes a car look like a halloween ghost advancing down the road.

I think there was a discussion on the old board, but I can't remember the website it referred to. Anyone ?

Mike (tito), that's a very nice trick ... very, very useful when sitting at stoplight. Can you provide details without too much bother?

Its a 10min job, or 20mins if you have dodgy knees like me :(

Remove the seat and right side cover. At the base of the battery box is a nice little lug that is just the right size for a flasher can to fit in. Cable tie in place and simple cut/splice the brake wires from the sender unit above the brake lever into the flasher unit. Don't solder it use male/female connectors so you can replace or override it when necessary.

:)

ps : I think the lights you are referring to are those UV/blacklight neon lights guys use under their tail sections.

I was thinking about running a strip blue lights under the gas tank so it would light up the top of the motor, but seeing how cops in Ca. frown on using blue lights (normally the frown is puctuated with a ticket), because blue is for law enforcement vehicles only, I "nichts" that idea. But I have seen a couple of H-D's with the lights, and they looked pretty good. But I don't think it would be too hard to turn an artful idea into a "pimpmobile" with too much of a good thing.

Strobe Light

Best Regards Team:

I replace the rear red reflector with a red strobe light wired to the brake circuit. $16 total cost.

Have been thinking about a "Neon" blue light below the fuel tank to "Glow" the engine and another one in the rear fender. The only issue is that Cops do not like use of blue lights by civilians, altough I have done extensive research in the Texas Transportation Code there's nothing related to "neon" lights, The only problem is if you install red, blue or white lights in the front but nothing about a harmless blue neon glow in the engine.

Happy Holidays...!

Man! :)

Where was Andy on the old board when I was getting my jewels crushed for bad boy behavior. A picture really is worth a thousand words.

I read somewhere once it goes back to WW2. The Germans made the French run white headlights like everyone else in wartime so in an act of pure French obstinancy, after the war they went back to yellow lights and have been that way ever since.
