How about a group buy for the 2010 model!!

+1 Why didn't I think of that?
Too bad street fighters haven't caught on here like they have in Europe, I love the concept...
Yeh I love the nakeds ....I just wish they wouldn't keep "budgeting" them down. Give me awesome brakes , awesome suspension , and gobs of power .... don't dumb it down for me cuzz its a naked! The Z the a 10 in it is as good as sold in my book .... I'de be at the dealer inna heartbeat.
Ya kidding me, the naked bikes arent big in the US:sadpace:
Lucky here in Oz we got em all FZ1N the CB1000r and of course the bees knees of bikes the mighty zed, and glad the naked scene is startin to take off especially streetfighters, must be the hooligan in us.
Would be nice to see a 10r powered zed i have to say, but then i cant justify gettin rid of a bike i just spent thousands on
damn kawasaki
i'm more than likely on this boat alone... but i sort of like the z1000 with ~130 rwhp. when i hop on the z1000 after riding the 10r, i have a blast on the z1000 because it feels like i'm really able to ride the wheels off that thing. on the 10r, too much concentration spent on being smooth takes away from the fun. the 10r motor is smoother than a baby's bum, but the z1000's rougher motor has got the character that makes it that much more enjoyable.
I have read something in the last couple of weeks that the motor is the same as last years just a different bore, making closer to 1100 but they are keeping the z1000 name.
Where did you read that!?

Im trying to remember, either MCN or Kawasaki print out. Trying to hunt it down as we speak!!
only thing i saw was at asphaltandrubber.com, and it was not very informative. no engine info, just a maybe kawasaki will rework the Z1000 for 2010...

Just bin on to friends who know a bit more and sounds like i have been talking out of my rectrum! :blah:
The new z1000 has recently been tested by Kwak Uk in amsterdam and it has Zx10 brakes and forks the rest is classified!!!

I agree. If they're changing anything I'd much rather them put higher-quality boingers on both ends than worry about making more power. This engine can already write checks that the chassis can't cash.

exactly
it already makes more power than most nekkid bikes, except for the upcoming rsv4 tuono?
i know they didn't completely sort out the suspension on the 2nd gen, but maybe they improved the brakes and tranny? i dunno, i have yet to ride a 2nd gen. that's one thing i absolutely love about the 10r, shifting is butter smooth. i've got the zx6r fork and shock swap on my z, so it's almost perfect the way it is.
Europe alway get nicer styling...Just look at the Yamahas, the FZ6 and FZ1!!!

They better do something! My Z was my favorite bike and I havent bought anything since because there's nothing I want. . . I liked my Z1k but didnt feel as rigid and sturdy as the new liter bikes.

Ive really been contemplating fighting a 06-07 Zx10R or a new CBR1000RR. A down side with naked bikes is that parts are sometimes harder to find than conventional fairinged bikes (especially turbo kits).

I know that feeling and a Streetfighter is not in my budget. I have been toying w/ the idea of a ZX14 as another bike but I really do not like plastic.
Have you heard something?
No, but a photoshopped bike and some website rumors (show me some sources) don't provide me with any hope! This, however, is a story that I'm following that is providing me with hope! (Not that I'm giving up my Z, there's always room for more in the garage! ;) ) http://www.motoblog.it/post/20739/le-foto-spia-della-nuova-honda-v4-a-spasso-per-le-alpi
