Here is a place that makes some really nice pieces for the Z1000 I just got one of their belly pans and I think its one of the best looking designs out there. Plus they make a really cool fender eliminator, radiator guards and turn signals painted in the factory OEM colors. Check this site out:

That is def. the coolest looking pan out, as long as you stick to the factory headers. I've seen the signals in person they are very slick looking, I like that you can order them painted to match. You should post some pics of your pan install, I want to check it out.

The round signals like you have on the cowl are the ones I want, very slick.

i'll be getting the signals before too long. The clear lenses still light up amber right?

I got mine from Motospecialties too, I think they have dropped a number of Z000 items from their web page but if you email them they usually tell you who you need to get in touch with.

I hate to tell you this but you forgot to re-install your back brake! :confuse:

I remember that he said he didn't use it....I almost can't argue with that I've got the rear to break lose plenty of times, fun but also scarry.

I never use it so I took it off and now my bike is .001 seconds quicker in the 1/4 mile

Actually my knee is so bad that I could'nt use the rear brake and I needed to make some extra room for my big feet (size 15) so I removed the brake pedal. Later I thought why not remove the disk and the caliper too since it would make cleaning wheels and checking tire pressures easier so I did.

Yeah, I could def. see that....it would make it easier for sure.

btw I got those black levers, thanks man they are going to look good on my bike since I'm doing the black-out.

I just got my side covers and swingarm pivot pieces back from Extreme Graphics and they turned out pretty good. I attached a quick photo to give you an idea of what it looks like but one of the lights in my garage was out so the photo turned out badly. As soon as the weather changes I will take some photos outside in good lighting.

I replaced the crappy photo with this new one.

no back brake? i use my back brake alot, and i lock it up just a little bit everytime I ride.

the most important use of the back brake is needing to slow down when there is a lack of traction, i.e. gravel, dirt, etc. I try to keep my bike on the pavement at all times, but occasionally i end up on a short dirt road, or gravel parking lot, and the rear brake is critical (at least I thought it was, and never touch the front in those conditions).

either way, i want some of those blinkers now.

must...have...belly pan...

INTHERED,
Hey, how did that belly pan fit on your bike around the gearshift lever? I noticed when installing it that if I were to down shift, the lever would hit the belly pan....

nf,
If you order a belly pan, I just got mine, seems for the Z1000 they are made to order, then if you want it color matched.... 'bout 7 business days' wait. No biggie, I like the craftsmanship. I've seen several belly pans with out the heat sheilding inside... at least some is installed on these.

The shifter does not usually hit but mine was really close so I bent it out 1/4"

I'd also like to add, that after a ride or two, I noticed the clear turn signal lenses blew off. I know I didn't even break 80mph.

Looks kinda like the lenses are hot glued on...

Anyway, I called the guys and they are replacing them for me, as BOTH of them blew off. I will use fuggin' LocTite on these thangs'....

The other thing, make sure your gear shift lever clears the belly pan. I've already gouged mine. I thought I bent the shifter out far enough, and after a nice hard two hour ride, that lever put a nice new gash in my belly pan.

just order the bellypan and turn signals today wooohooo, now can;t wait until i get them, ended up picking up the clear lenses on a green Z1000, hopefully looks good.

I never really liked the radiator covers, they look stuck out too much. maybe if they were a bit smaller would have went for them.

now the waiting game starts :) will post pics when they get here.
