Just happened and will have to study the book later..
But here's the situation..
If I try to start it with the clutch lever pulled in-Nothing..Let out the lever and put it in neutral-starts right up.Put it in gear before raising the kick stand-it dies...
Should I look at the safey switch on the kickstand first?
Any help is appreciated.. Jim

Check to make sure the clutch switch connector is all the way in. Or the clutch switch may not be working. IIRC you can put it in gear with the clutch pulled in but it wont stall until you let the clutch out. I cant check to make sure because I dont have my ZR any more.

I think it is the clutch switch after looking at the manual..
As long as its just a starter lockout switch I can get by till winter...

And the deal with stalling is..As long as the sidestand is up it stays running..But even with the clutch lever pulled in if you put the stand down it stalls.. Thanks Jon
