Well after watching a couple of vids on youtube, and reading on the web, I decided to make one of these up to shoot some video on my rides. First impression is there is alot of vibration. We'll see this weekend on a poker run and 9-11 tribute.

Perhaps the weight of the (larger) camera is contributing to the vibes. There is an option of an ultra light (and compact) solution. See here: http://http://www.cmcbikes.com/veho-muvi-mini-video-camera.html (this is in UK, but I'm sure they're available in most markets).

These can be mounted on clothing or on the bike itself. I suspect clothing is a good idea as it will insulate the vibration further.

You'll need a larger base plate and some type of dampener for that camera. further your going to get a lot of reflection out of the windshield from the instruments and the triple tree.
