Attached to this post is the custom fuel map for my Ninja 1000. Some people were asking for this and I just wanted to make sure the tuner was OK with sharing it before doing so. This was done on a Factory Pro EC997A eddy current dyno in Houston, so sea level is about 40-50 feet.

The power mods that really matter:

Akrapovic Full Exhaust (Dual/4-2-2)
BMC Air Filter
PAIR Block Off Plates
Sub-Throttle Plates Removed

BELOW IS THE ACTUAL MAP FILE (ZIPPED)

ALL THE USUAL EXCLUSIONS APPLY - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

Here an actual screen shot of the map:

Here is a spread sheet that shows the difference between the map and the Dynojet Full Akrapovic map:

The dyno graph:

And a shot of the bike just for grins: :)

Here's a comparison of the stock vs the custom map.

As can be seen, the custom map is far from being just richer than stock. It's tuned for the intake and exhaust efficiency changes across the RPM range.

BTW: As of the last refill, MPG was 41...

That's cool of you to upload the file. I'm curious now what my auto tune is doing and I'll have to compare it to your map. Right now I'm getting 31 mpg. So I'm envious of your 41 mpgs.

In the interest of full of disclosure, that was on a 95% highway commute and practicing throttle restraint. Hooning around on another tank I got 30. :doh

Nope, no reason to. Although I am going to convert it to a per gear map and lean out the cruise areas in 6th gear to see if I can eek a bit more mileage out of it.

cool deal. Thanks for sharing. I think we are two of three that are running 4-2-2 and you're the only one with a custom map. So I thank you.

Dasani thanks a bunch for this! You rock.

Vancouver BC altitude is at around 250 feet
so I'm going to give it a go and let autotune do the rest.

in other news...
I reinstalled the butt plug on my exhaust and the loud backfire (4400rpm)
is minimized to the sound of some bad flatulence!

I live in the hill country of Texas where it's about 400 feet above sea level and have no problems.

If the map works for you, I would just turn off the AutoTune.

The AutoTune would need it's own custom table to actually do anything more beneficial. The 13.2:1 across the board table provided by Dynojet is just a starting point (AKA guess) anyway.

As for that butt plug and flatulence problem of yours, I can't really help you there...

No....not without a full exhaust. Also, this was long before anyone was able to access the restrictions in the bikes ecu.

Botice his map is 10 years old. It was all we had, back then, but it's different now.

Is there a good map for z1000 2010 now then??

Where are you at? Re-flashing the ecu is the more modern approach to tuning the motorcycles . Not the power commander.

If I were forced to use a power commander, I would find a map from their site that matched how my bike was tuned. The stock exhaust header is restrictive, so a map designed around a full exhaust isnt going to be good for a stock bike.

The best option would be to remove your power comander and send your ecu here.
