My name is Philip, I work for VerticalScope.com. VerticalScope recently acquired riderforums.com and will be taking over the management duties of the forum. Your familiar moderator and admin team will be the same people helping with the day to day forum management. We will primarily manage the technical functions of the site and support the mod team. Maintaining continuity as well as the spirit of the site is important to us. This means that little about the site will change for you the user while we continue to grow the community.

Over the next few days you will notice my team mates Helena and Kyle who will be helping me with the site announcements as well as members of our support team (they will introduce themselves in the site issues section). While we get to know the landscape of the forum and how things work we will be on hand to answer questions and get to know the unique needs of this community.

I will be working closely with the Admin/Mod team on ways we can help improve the order of things here and raise the level of your experience on riderforums.com.

If you have questions please let me know, I will do my best to answer you all as quickly and thoroughly as I can.

Hi, Philip, and welcome to the community here! Members, I've been here for the last five years. I worked for Forum Foundry, the previous owners, and with this acquisition, I'm moving over to Verticalscope to work with them, and I'll continue to be here, working behind the scenes mostly, as I have prior to now.

This site has always been pretty much self-sufficient, running smoothly without much involvement from me or us. You can expect that to continue, but if you have any concerns or suggestions, or complaints for that matter, let one of us know. I'm logged in here 24/7, so I'm not hard to reach. ;)

Welcome Phillip. I agree about the forum except one area and that's the search feature. It could be how I think it should work or how I expect the results to come back but it doesn't seem to work very well. I figure either it's a known weak point but not worth making better or possibly just something overlooked.

I agree, it's actually easier to Google the question and it usually sends me to the forum anyway and to the right spot lol

I will look into seach. In the mean time you can also use google to help you with search. "riderforums.com: the subject you are searching for" <- put this in google.

Thanks and that's a great tip. I have been using that method for sometime and found it mostly effective. Hopefully it's just a configuration settings or patch to address the issue. Not critical for sure but part of it has just been if it was only me experiencing search issues because I've never read anyone else experiencing this until now.

What was that commercial....."My mom says he sucks, but I've always liked Martin 64"

Besides being a decent moderator, he's a good person. I vote "yes" to his 2.3% salary increase up to $255,000, per year.
