This time next week I'll be in Cancun Mexico for Spring Break! (yes, I'm still in college). We'll be away for 7 days starting next Sunday. I'll be sure and post pics when I get back. I'm gonna try and rent me a little moped and hit the twisties when I'm down there! Lol!

We have to drive to Atlanta, GA from Tallahassee, FL next Sunday to catch our chartered 737 to Cancun. It should be an awesome trip, now I've got to go buy as many tropical shirts as I can get my hands on.

OK, let me get this straight..... srogaski is still in college, and he has a 2002 Altima, 2001 ZR-7S, 1999 CB250, and going to Mexico for spring break.

How come when I was in college my only transportation was my roommate's 69 (?) Rambler, eating out consisted of Big Macs (only with a 2 for 1 coupon), and a date consisted of going to a delta chi party in a toga and swilling beer till 2 a.m.?

The times they are a changin'

I guess you can say I'm lucky, I'm working as a Graphics Design Specialist for a web devel firm here in Tallahassee. We got a really good bargain on our trip. Here's what's included:

- Round Trip Airfare
- 6 Nights at the Carisa Y Palma Hotel
- Free Cover to all major night clubs
- Buy 1 Get 1 Free Meals at surrounding restaurants
- Wristband for 2 for 1 Drinks at certain clubs
- 10-30% Discount off participating activities (JetSki etc.)

All of this for $739 per person!

Couldn't pass this deal up since it's my LAST Spring Break!

I used to hang out behind the building when they were closing to snag the leftover burgers out of the dumpster!!!
I hope you're kidding Jarel. Although it's not a bad idea for a college student. Unless you're Stan of course...:)

Thank goodness my parents sprung for the cafeteria meal plan for me. I didn't exactly have to walk 2 miles barefooted in snow, uphill both ways, to school, but a 2002 Altima and a 2001 ZR-7?? Wow.

I didn't think they had any McDonalds in Nebraska anyway. Just corn dogs, corn flakes, fried corn, mashed corn, etc. :smilewink

Wow, interesting college stories. I went to college on the old G.I. bill, so I got paid to go to school, had a part time job, and rented one of my father's rental houses (at his cost) and had gobs of grants...went to school free and got paid too! Hell, I didn't want to graduate I had it so good. But Dad pissed on that parade and said graduate and move on so I can get fair rent on that house. Tom :) the rest is history.

Wow, living in a house!! Must have been nice! I lived in a cardboard box behind the McDonalds...... so I could be there when they dumped the leftover burgers in the dumpster..... and then chase it down with my "beer".... :(
Sorry JJ, I'm just not buying your story about the cardboard box and all. I have this "gut" feeling you attended school at Stanford, Harvard, Princeton or some other elite school...or even Nebraska!!Now, tell the truth....don't lie to this investigator! Tom ;) :~

What sort of "roaches" are you talking about? Most college dorm rooms had plenty of roaches in my day.

Did you get an MBA at Creighton? What about the undergrad degree? And yes, I remember the roaches (those that run fast when ya turn on the lights) at my first apartment in Atlanta when I started working with the government. Hey, I still remember my starting salary in '83, it was $16,667 per year!! Tom :D

We've got things worse than Roaches in our place in Tallahassee. A little thing called a Palmetto Bug. They're about 3 times the size of a normal roach, they can fly, and they run way faster. These are true to size, no zooming in.
or

They make good late night snacks especially if you marinate them and stick them on the grill Yum!
