I cannot believe no one has posted a pic of the better concours 14. Its widely known the silver ones are about 10% higher in horsepower than the far prettier root beer colored ones.

I'd post mine, but I dont have a single pic of the bike and probably not quite smart enough to post one.

I hear ya regarding the night riding, Rasmith. I am considering this endurance ride following my road trip through SD, MT, WY, ID, and of course CO. My Connie doesn't and won't have lighting upgrades.

While at the local Kawi dealer yesterday, I learned that Sturgis Rally is occurring the same time I want to pass through SD. I have lopped-off that part of the ride, and make the Iron Mountain Road another time.

Just returned yesterday after the 2,401 mile ride. Still going through my photos, but this is of the first camp site in Casper, WY.

Taken with the cell phone.

Very cool spot. Is it specifically designed for tents, or is it a shelter for the picnic table you've re-purposed?

After experiencing several thunder showers and the associated wind gusts, it seems these are purpose built. Very functional. Parking is actually on the other side of the fencing. They also had pea gravel to keep the tents out of the dirt and mud.

Sure did! Really enjoyed that road. Took it from the Beartooth into Cody.

Took a bunch of other roads (ID and UT) into Flaming Gorge from Jackson. Great riding out there for sure.

The shield is of my own work and a ZX14 windscreen. It has been nice to use, but the OEM is about to go on as the temps cool down.

Thanks! It is still mounted and might be good for another ride as the temps seem to be holding.

I have a 500-700 mile rear tire to use up before the next long trip.

The OEM shield is laying on the carpet as a reminder to install. ?
