Does anyone know what adjustments can be made to potentially push this bike a little faster? Simple fixes or complex, doesn't matter to me, I'm in Canada, I could use a winter project or 2.

If you ride over to ninjette.org there is plenty of folks with 300's. You will find more than enough info

Are you wanting higher top end or better acceleration? A change in gearing can get you one or the other.

Yes. Gearing doesn't add or take away horsepower. You trade torque for vehicle speed when you change gear ratios. So when you increase the theoretical top speed, you are taking torque out of the equation. Decrease top speed and yiu will have more available torque to the rear tire. At the cost of higher rpms, thus less available top speed.
An engine gets all the attention, but its the transmission that really does the work. Without gear ratios, you would have nothing but a single speed go kart.

I'm sure that others will correct me if I'm wrong............
That tiny little engine is already geared so that it pretty much screams up to redline pretty quick as it is.
I think if you go with a lower gear in hopes of getting faster acceleration, you will be disappointed.

Oddly enough, one tooth higher on the front sprocket (a higher final ratio) might actually give you better overall performance.......until you hit top speed in high gear and that might be reduced just a bit because of raw HP limitations.

Easy has a point. Lots of folks with 250's go a tooth larger in the front. That way you can cross an intersection without having to hit second gear.
Common mods for your bike; air filter, fuel programmer, and full exhaust. Area P makes one of finest systems for your bike. In looks, quality, and performance.
