So I took the bike out for a first ride of the season last night. Had a full tank of gas with stabiliser additive left over the winter like every year. Started right up on the first try, warmed up and ran great. Then while riding suddenly lost power and just died. I pulled over to the side, thinking that it is probably a fuel issue. After about a minute thinking about how will I get home, tried to start it up and it fired right up in less than a second of cranking and ran great for the rest of the evening, accelerating like a stabbed rat, so I dont think it was a fuel/carb issue after all... What the heck could it have been and how should I approach diagnosing it? Will not be feeling comfortable taking a long ride far from home now...
