I have seen a couple from Europe, but none from a US distributor/manufacturer. Anybody got any leads? If not...what are the opinions on the European versions? Costs? Shipping time? Overall quality and fitment? Pictures of installed ones would be a geat help also. Thanks guys.

i have fitted the powerbronze unit to my Z , im quite happy with the look and fit of it and it saves all the road crud getting into the rear shock :woot:

Did you get the carbon fibre? Do you have pix? Does it work with the stock chainguard? How was the shipping? :blah:

i got the hugger in black with gold mesh , it attaches over the chain guard , i see they do a chain guard aswell if you wanted to go all out. from memory it was $220 Au imported to my local kawasaki dealer. ill do some pics and send them over , of the hugger and seat cowl :righton:

YES PLEASE POST PICS OF THE HUGGER!!!!111 I'm looking at gettign the powerbronze hugger very soon with thier carbon fiber chainguard. Any pics woudl be great. And it only bolts onto one side?? What about the non cover side?? Bracket??

I definitely want a carbon fiber for my 08 since a white one would show too much dirt. But I don't like the look of the Powerbronze with the mesh inserts. Would prefer a solid piece and one that combines the chain guard into the same unit. I am still actively looking/hoping someone makes one like this that can be easily sourced in the USA. Anybody know of one that fits that description? :wavehand:

Ermax sells a hugger that seems to have an intergrated chain guard from the pictures. It comes in dealer colors unpainted or carbon look not actual carbon fiber. With the Powerbronze hugger you can always tape off the hugger except for the mesh and paint it a different color. I'm probably gonna paint the mesh area black. PLUS I was thinking of doing a few accent LED's on the bike and meshed huggers n fenders make great lighting effects but thats just me :nerd: .....Anyway I STILL WANT PICS OF THE HUGGER!!!

Puig has one possibly with included chain guard, looks like it by the photo anyway. Black or Carbon Look.

Thanks. I couldn't find an undertial for the newer Z's so I just cleaned it up on my own. Just takes a couple holes in that weird drop in the tail section and a couple leds from Autozone. I'll post directions for anyone who wants em.

Yeah. I am tending towards the Puig. I am not thrilled with the mesh on the Powerbronze either, and the Ermax shipping charge is a deal-killer. Mr. Jones is right about that Puig website - pretty iffy access.

I don't have any of the 07 Z1000 items in stock, it usually takes 2~3 weeks to get them. I order direct from Ermax so that's as fast as it can be. If you order from me I can charge you normal UPS shipping because I order a few thousand dollars of parts from them a week and it costs about the same amount to ship 5 pieces from France or England as it costs to ship one. The parts come in any color that the bike was offered in.
