The best setup is 03/04 triples and 05-06 forks. You also need the wheel, axle, rotor, and calipers. Another option is to bore out the bearing pockets of your stock 650 front rim to accept 636 bearings. Discs will work properly and you can save some cash -- also the 0304 front wheel is a 3 spoker, which looks different from your back wheel.

If you use zx10 forks you can keep your wheel.

Wait...huh? Nvm. They changed the forks from 41mm ('05) to 43mm ('07?) so I don't think it'd work. I've heard an 09's is a direct swap, but haven't seen anything on it. Of course...this is the 650r part of the forum....

if you can get the hole 04 front end set up including wheels and bearings, DO IT!!

i wish i had a chance to buy the hole front end set up from the same bike. mine is a mix of 04 and 05 different bikes lol it was a pain in the *** to find the right info of what pieces fit together.

main concern was the wheel and bearings, but if your hook up has all that, you should be golden! it was a pretty easy swap, i did alone in a matter of 4 hours.

GL on the project !
