So i have had a problem with my 2nd gear slipping. I ride a 2001 zx6, i just replace the clutch on it, I thought that would fix the problem i was having with 2nd gear but it still slips out of gear around 3K RPM. i don't have any problem with the other gears at all before or after i replaced the clutch. The bike has 32k miles on it, i am now thinking that it is a possible transmission problem and not the actual clutch. can anyone please clear this up for me, so i can figure out how to go about diagnosing, and fixing the problem.

thank you for any info about this!

Sounds like you're going to have to do what you fear most, tear it down and see what's up. My feeling would be a gear that has worn. Have you had any shavings, etc in your oil over the last few changes? Do you drain the old filter and look to see what comes out?
