Same stroke as the z1k/n1k how many of us gear heads <-- (it'd take some cash) are gonna be swapping pistons, heads, throttle bodies whatever to get an even lighter z1k ;). It actually does look pretty attractive power/torque wise about want I'd look for if shopping for a new bike, I wonder if they'll do a half faired one like the n1k next year like when the z1k came out, I do like a little bit more protection than a pure naked offers, and 18>18.5 litre tank would be nice too. I do like it though as it is, it's just that I do a lot of 500+ km. days and a bigger tank and less wind is important to me.

I am really curious to see if they issue a recall on the early release RS too or what the fix from the factory looks like

I must be in that demographic as well. I started riding in '69 and throughout the 70's I could really only afford little 2 stroke singles and finally a 350 Honda. But the lust for the larger bikes must have been ingrained into my soul because the Honda CB1100 and now this Z900 really stirs something. It quickly gets tempered by practicality, however, and nowadays there's no way I'm giving up my fairing and windshield and other modern bike traits. But if I had the $$$ and space in the garage to park it I'd be all over this bike.

I've been admiring the CB1100RS since it was released but sadly, Honda hasn't brought this particular model to the US... yet.

Like you, I'm in lust w/the CB1100RS & Z900RS bike but I cannot justify a 2nd bike in my garage, except for emotional justification purposes and that won't cut the mustard. I also know this cuz my wife tells me so.

Besides, My N1K, decked out as it currently sits, is possibly the most practical bike I've ever owned, the modern interpretation of the UJM, IMHO.

We can dream tho...

If Yamaha decides to bring the XJR1300 to the US, you will have more dilemma.

Is'nt that the good/bad part of owning a ninja 1000? Good in that it works pretty well for anything you need a motorcycle for...and bad because its hard to justify a dedicated bike that gets uses for "blank" when the Ninja does that pretty well, too.

And with that being said, I still want a green zrx.

I remember how popular that kz 400 was....and do you also remember the factory equipped touring kz 400? It was in that brown/gold color, but equipped, right from the factory, with a decent windsheld and bags.

No recollection of that. I barely rememeber the bike itself other than it was near indestructible. I know this cuz of how I rode and treated that poor thing.

RE: ZRX- been there, done that & loved them both but I've moved on. Lots of really nice ones out there for sale tho at really good prices.

RE: N1K- it truly has become the UJM of this decade.
