In this video, we are holding the throttle steady. The change in RPM is all caused by something else.

Starts, but when the RPMs are at about 3500, it jumps up and down. On the street, it lurches forward randomly and then loses power again. Clogged fuel injector? Bad gas? Valves off? Spark plug? Computer probs? Not sure what the problem could be, any suggestions?

Hi DC,

It looks like your bike has several simultaneous issues. I suggest you rule out each issue one by one. Start checking with the cheapest (check service code [if any], get good gas, inspect air filter, inspect spark plugs, etc.) solutions towards the more expensive (check main harness, check stator/alternator, check valve clearance, check main/sub throttle sensors, check fuel injectors, check ECU, etc.) ones. Do you have a pdf copy of the service manual? Do a search (service manual), Google is your friend. :)
