Hi guys!
This is my first post on this forum, I am so happy to be here.
One of the things that always has annoyed me about my Z1000 is the look of the handlebar. It just looks too "kind" or too little agressive.
I have found out that the "rise" is too high right after the handlebar clamp. It would look better if the handlebar had less rise.
But I dont want to ruin the riding position, I already have some minor problems with my back/shoulders.
I figured out that the best thing to do would be to add some risers and then put on a handlebar with less rise.
Can someone tell me their handlebar setup? And also maybe add a picture?
I work as a mechanic at a military workshop and we have all kinds of machines so I plan to make my own risers by simply adding length to the stock bolt that is attached to the lower clamps. Then I will use the lathe and make a collar out of aluminium and maybe also use the mill to give it a sort of shape, and put the collars under the exsisting lower clamps.
What do you think?
Here are some pictures of my bike:
Would be really nice if someone could get back to me on this.
Thanks
Joakim
