  2. Difference in oil for cars vs. motorcycles

    General Ninja 650R
don't get me wrong, at one point I used the Rotella 5w40 in my car, and never really had any issues with it. However, my car does run smoother and a lot quieter with the mobil 1 and even with the Castrol syntec, that is enough for me to stick with them. because I do oil changes every 10K, I...
  3. Difference in oil for cars vs. motorcycles

    General Ninja 650R
the Rotella 5W40 is NOT full synthetic, it's a group III oil (Google it)....while it's good oil, it's not the best. better than conventional and not as good as true full synthetic... I use Mobil 1 5W40 or 0w40 (true full syn..) in my VW NB. 150,000 miles and the turbo is still strong. cost...

Darn it, I forgot to mention the I like the fact it has fully adjustable USD forks (which the SV doesn't have). The adjustable foot controls are a nice options as well. Not sure if the US version has ABS (doubt it).

I stopped by a hyosung dealer today, to check them out (http://www.mpgmotors.com). While I say the fit and finish is not up to the SV, the overall bike looked and felt like it was put together really well. As for the 2 years warranty, there is a reason for that. Hyosung was the makers of the...
  10. Leaning Question

    General Ninja 650R
I still haven't got my first bike yet...but planning on getting it soon. BTW, I live in Philly, in Mt Airy. Just off Lincoln Drive. Philly roads are rough, you may want to take a ride out of the city. Lots on nice open road South west of the city, like pass Longwood Garden on Rt 1.

  13. Low-torque In-line 4's??

    General Ninja 650R
i checked out the FZ6 this yesterday. At first, I wasn't a fan of the half fairing look. but after looking at it and sitting on it, i like it more than I thought i would. It feels higher up than some of the other bikes i was checking out, which is good for me (6'2"). The power plant is a...

the more i read about the 695, the more it makes better sense to get it as a first bike. i'm feeling the slipper clutch. it may not have that "flashy sporty look". but it's still a hot bike. can't wait to go check it out.

Thank for the tip. I wasn't planning on buying that soon (very careful shopper). I will call up Fast by Ferracci and see if I can take a look at one in a few weeks. (http://www.ferracci.com/index.php)

I don't think a dual sport is for me. I'm more interested in naked sports (I would love to have the naked version to the 650R) or sport bikes.
  17. Looking at those ducati's

    General Ninja 650R

Thanks. I noticed that you are in ATL. I live in Philly, but that's not an issue, since my big bro lives in Clayton county and visit when I can. I really need to find a place that has one of them in stock. I'm just concerned because of my size.
