I appreciate the comments. Although, by the looks of it I would guess the 2002 RED ZRX is the fastest of the three. That would be my choice of color too. How is the wind protection on the ZRX?

Thats pretty cool. I have made one mod to my bike that nobody else has seemed to have made.......I put screen (glued in) behind the side panel openings looks cool and cleans up the panel.

The wind protection seems to be about the same as my ZR7 with the Rifle fairing. I plan on purchasing a taller screen for my ZRX soon. I can't remember the company that makes them. Maybe one of my faster "green" fellow (hooligan) rexers can help out here? Tom

I will have to say that Red has been (2001 zr7s) and will always be faster (2002 ZRX). I make this statement from first hand experience. Tonight the Kawasaki dealer gave me a good deal I couldn't turn down. An hour later I was riding home, once again on two wheels. It is funny how much withdrawl I went thru in two weeks. I think it had to do with the weather being so nice. I only have 10 miles, plan on fixing that since I have off from work thru Friday. First impression is power below 4k is smooth and more apparent (obviously) than ZR7s. Wind protection was nice because the turbulent area on zr7s was right on my face shield, and a bit lower on ZRX. I never realized how addictive a bike would be.
