Curious, what exactly are you looking at changing by using it? Just the ignition advancement curve? That can be done with a simple advance unit (2, 4,or adjustable) for way less than the $400 or so...

The bike is highly modified with 36mm flatsliders, r6 swing arm ,new one off single seat and sub frame, rearsets, modified top yolk, clip ons, petrol tank lifted up with most of electrics fitted underneath it,i did have a lithium battery under tank between frame tubes but some mice chewed wiring and caused it to blow a hole in side of battery i was lucky not to blow bike up so have just mounted the old one back on a bracket off the bottom yolk behind headlight, new lithium in post, acerbis motocross headlight with high level mudgaurd similar to ducati hypermotad style, the list of one off mods is endless on this bike.I have just stripped it down again ready to have engine rebored to 810cc gas flowed and valves n top end reworked to a new design so this is why i want to up grade the ignition, this bike is a snarling beast that i use on the street but also want to put down drag strip next year.I have been workin on this bike 9years

Sounds like you've done a lot of work getting the flatside carbs and pod filters (I assume?) dialed in. Kudos. Upping it to the 810cc will help gain some speed also, But the question still stands. Why the Dyna tuner? NO2 to be added? (BTW, we'd be interested in a pic or two when the bike was "together" wit the mods to see what all ya did)

I've used Dyna coils in the past on both my KZ & GPZ 750's and was happy with their products but my bikes were only modded with jetting kits and exhaust (Kerker). And frankly I bought them as simple replacements through Dennis Kirk back in the day. Neither had anything like the K-TRIC system on the ZR7S. Both of my ZRX's have the same system and work flawlessly. I'd say unless you have ignition issues go with stock parts, good used are almost always available on ebay. As far as you're installation of the flat slides kudo's to you, folks said the same thing to me as far as installing Lectron carb on my Yamaha TZ750 back in the day. Please keep us informed as to what you do and what success on this mod if you go forward.

Better off asking Dynatek I'd have thought

I'm running their coils on my ZR7 and bike feels good on them, allied with an ignition advancer and Brisk racing plugs.
You can really feel the difference with that setup.
