I still need to change the oil in the blower and make up a couple of new side skid plates (I've worn the current ones out, flipped them over and wore that side out too.) The ski gear will go to the shop soon for a base grind, edge grind and waxing. I also need to wrap the BBQ for the winter and drain the front outdoor faucet to prevent the pipe in the garage from bursting again when the temps move steadily below freezing.

As for putting the bike away, we've had flurries 3 days now but I'm still hoping for a bit more riding time. My main holdout is waiting for a new rear tire to come in (it was on back order until the 14th-ish) Otherwise I'd still be commuting to and from work daily.

As for the manual, I also downloaded a copy onto my iPhone, in case I need it while on the road.

I was a little disappointed in my Galfer stainless replacement. Can you guess why? Less than 2 years old.

WOW! Either that's really poor electroplating, or you've been riding thru toxic waste D.F. Thanks for the update/heads up friend. I'll rethink the brand of S.S. line I purchase if/when I do it. I'd almost be worried about that crappy finish flaking off inside, into the brake fluid, since brake fluid's somewhat acidic/caustic on it's own I think?

I may strip it down end of year, take a look inside, and put the factory banjo bolts back on. For street riding, I don't believe braided SS makes that big of a difference. The rubber OE brake lines I took off were still in very good shape and braking did not improve when I changed the lines as part of my $500 brake rebuild (you guys will remember the saga Brake inspection today- not looking good)

Just re-read your brake re-build story. I forgot what a long and PIA time and expense you had into that project. We should call you Ishmael after that epic and elusive hunt for brakes!

I woke up in the middle of the night LMBO about "epic rear brake". I thought I was gonna wake up the wife! I know; I'm strange... I'm laughing about it now... it's hilarious.
