    Dominator motoGP Exhaust

I just ordered a Dominator brand motoGP (short can) exhaust on eBay for the ZR7S.

    $_57.JPG

Exhaust Dominator MotoGP I Kawasaki ZR7 DB Killer | eBay

Looks pretty nice, includes all mounting hardware, the can strap, removable dB killer etc. I wanted a short can without needing to cut one down and deal with the hassle.

It is from POLAND, and with shipping to the USA came to about $200. They have all sorts of shapes, lengths available. It appears to use a special flange for the mounting holes, pictured to the right in the image.

I'll let everyone here know how it sounds, looks, etc. when it arrives, it is estimated to be approximately two weeks or so shipping time. Arrival estimated April 22nd-29th.

See second page, instead of the motoGP - I had the full length can delivered and installed

Loud and deep tone is the plan! Around here it's not too big of an issue with the law thankfully.

I'm curious as well. I saw a couple of the shorty's, but they all seemed somewhat generic? I was hoping to find something much smaller, and after hours of searching I came across a newly posted NIB Jardine rt1 for 100$, free shipping on ebay... I figured I shouldn't pass it up, so I bought it and haven't worried about exhaust since. But Ill always wonder "what if" about the shorty's. I don't know why the cans for this bike are so damn long....

The shorty cans are usually louder given the lack of noise suppression material inside. You could pack more stuff into it, but that would affect back pressure.

The stock exhaust seems to be very restrictive, as in you can't look through one end and out the other and see light. There's something in there like a filter, waffle, that restricts the airflow and I would imagine create a strong back pressure...

With these aftermarket exhausts there's nothing to restrict the airflow, not sure how so many people get away without a rejet.

Yeah, I think I ended up with the Jardine race baffle, as I can see straight through it. I went with an ivans to rejet it. With eliminating that much restriction/backpressure it only makes sense to change fuel delivery and intake specs. It will technically work without a rejet, but not optimally. I come from the school where you keep you engines happy with balancing the mods with what is right, rather than making changes and telling your engine to deal with it.. only to then later blame your motor for it's failure.

Still waiting on my exhaust to be delivered, I am hopeful that it will arrive this week!

I will have to compare the new exhaust with the "dB killer" baffle removed and inserted. I believe that having the baffle inserted will help with the issue of losing back pressure in the exhaust system.

As of Thursday, May 21st, I'm still waiting on delivery of the Dominator motoGP exhaust......... 40 days after ordering now. The USPS tracking information states that it was "Inbound Out of Customs on May 9, 2015 1:00 am" which notes "Your item cleared United States Customs at 1:00 am on May 9, 2015." Which should mean that it cleared customs over 11 days ago and I still haven't received the package.

I hope it comes sooner rather than later.
