    Decel rattle on non-faired ZR7

Sounds like it's coming from the gauge area but may be headlight, I only hear it at lower RPM's as I'm slowing down. I searched the forums and couldn't find a consistent answer on how to fix it. Anyone else experienced this?

When I had my stock headlight on mine, it did have a rattle. The chrome outer bezel was the problem and it did take a while to develope. To check it, take the ring off and tap it in different places on the inside (so you don't scratch it), and you may replicate the rattle. It will probably come from the areas where the little mounts are spot welded. On mine, one of the little tabs had lifted when it was welded so there was a small gap.

Another thing to look for is inside the headlight where the wire connections are. If they are touching the headlight housing, they will make a rattle also. That was the first one I found, the ring took a little longer.

Also if you have a key ring, make sure it's not rattling on the handle bars.
