exhaust color??
ok I am getting ready to change out my exhaust and low and behold i am seeing some black looking soot on the inside of the can..........ok here is a stupid question....and i think i already know this but, is it supposed to look like this??? I dont think so but i just thought i would ask anyway. last fall i installed a jet kit, i have a K&N, and i only had a stock pipe on. now with the jet kit i installed 2 shims and the mixture idle screws were turned out 2.5 turns. I am located at sea level. I havent yet to look at the plug color but i plan on changing them out after the holiday along with the oil and filter. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Don't worry so much about the color in the pipe soot, it's the color on the spark plugs that's important.

Yep, a little soot in the pipe is normal. The plugs are what you read for mixture.
