I have the same problem since I've changed out my bars. With my shorter bars, the throttle cable housing is too long and has quite a bend to it and this bend makes the cable move less freely inside the housing. I've got to see about getting a shorter cable/housing. Also check that your throttle cable is not crimped. You could be lucky and it may only need to be lubed.

Does anyone else have a little slack in the throttle response when moving at slow speeds, even with the most gentle control it can seem a little jumpy. Will tightening up the cable sort this?

I've not been riding my 7 long and it's a bit troublesome.

It could be taking most or all of the freeplay in the throttle cable will help, or it may simply be due to the state of tune of your engine (ZRs are notoriously lean-running from the factory). I always adjust all the freeplay out of the throttles on my bikes (yes, I know that's contrary to the manual, but you'll find many experienced riders do it), checking the idle doesn't increase when the bars are turned full lock.

Thanks for posting. I'm having routing issues myself. Will try to apply.
