    Unhappy 2000 ZR-7 Lowering Links

Hi, I'm new to this site and I was wondering if any1 knows where I can get a decent set of lowering links for my ZR-7? After reading several posts on here and looking around the web and other resources I haven't been able to find any 'dogbones' or lowering links for under $100. Also there was sum mention of using ZZR1200 stock lowering links but nobody mentions what year ZZR1200 would fit my 2000 Zr-7. Any weblinks or knowing the year of the ZZR1200 would help me out tremendously!!

Finding parts for this bike has been quite the challenge!

A quick search on ebay shows lowering links for the zr-7. Did you check that source?
Just type in the following phrase

    lowering links zr-7

Thanks for the reply's guys and yes I've checked Ebay and Amazon. The cheapest I've found was $105+shipping US. Pretty expensive, around $50 each bolt LOL. I would like to only spend $50 or so.

Don't hold your breath waiting for something cheaper lol
The zr-7 is no longer in production and was never a big seller here in the US even during its production run
So, there's not a lot of companies making stuff for it.

cheeper might be taking your link to a fab shop and asking them how much it would be to mod it to be a lowering link or to make a new lowering link

Ya finding anything for this 2000 ZR7 has been quit the treasure hunt. I've had 3 other bikes and this 1 is by far harder to find parts for. I got an OK deal on the bike tho so I'm gonna ride the hell out of it!

Unfortunately, the zzr1200 is quite rare. Harder to find than a zr-7

I installed the zzr1200 links a few days ago. A few people i've shown it to think its too low but at 5'5" it allows me to be flat footed. I'll take some photos and post them up here.

That looks very low to me.
    I'm barely 5' 6" with a 28" inseam.

I guess it has to do with personal comfort level. I'm fine with touching the ground with the balls of my feet. The zr-7 is not super heavy. If it were 700 pounds or more, I wouldn't be comfortable. But at 525 lb, I'm OK.
