Quick question. I have done the front end swap and the rear suspension swap but my mechanic said the calipers are not straight. I have 05 zx6 caliper mount on the 05 forks so do I need 10mm spacers?
The spacers only add distance to accommodate the bigger rotor. Your caliper being off sounds like your calipers are junk.

Hey all,
Have a 2010 Z750 here (2nd Gen) - Looks like I should be good to go for the fork swap however just trying to figure out 1 final detail. Most of the posts here talking about the Z750 wheel not working except with different bearings or machining the wheel - however they seem to be referring to the 1st gen Z750 - which has RWU forks not USD forks. Anyone know if this has changed in the 2nd Gen? So basically will I be able to get forks, axle, spacers, calipers, lines and then run it through the clamps and wheels? or will I need to get new bearings etc for the wheels?
Any info required let me know!

Looks like I may have found the answer to my own question (Although ebay isn't really a great place for 100% accurate research) - but seems that the 2nd gen Z750 uses a 20mm spindle *Cry*
Guess I need to fit some different bearings

so if i read this correctly i need a ~2mm caliper spacer to use '10 zx-10 calipers with '04 zx6 forks and '03 z1000 rotors?

Unless 2010 calipers are more shallow, 10mm is what you want. 03-04 636 forks used a 280mm rotor, the Z1000 is a 300mm. So a 10mm spacer is needed to offset the expanding rotor size. Also, not sure if you saw, the 03-04 forks are set from the factory for a much smaller rider and are less ideal than the 05-06. Plus the 05-06 forks run a 300mm rotor, so no spacer is need to offset the calipers.

I was pulling info from DYNAGREGO. Yes, the 2010 (i think 08+) zx10 caliper mounting lugs are different than zx6 caliper mounting. So it looks like with 03-04 ZX6 FORKS, 08+ zx10 CALIPERS and z1000 DISKS I should need a 2mm caliper mount spacer. Then another 10mm spacer if I want to step up to 320mm disks.
yeah he really knows his stuff.
